Southmead death: Man dies following medical emergency in Bristol

A man has died after a medical emergency in Southmead today.

Emergency services were called to Ullswater Road, Southmead just after 2pm this afternoon (April 7).

Police were called to assist the ambulance service who had responded first.

The man later died and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A witness had recalled seeing the fire service, police and the ambulances at the property this afternoon.

Avon Fire and Rescue confirmed they were in attendance.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "At 2.30pm today we were called to assist the ambulance service as they dealt with a medical emergency involving a man at a property on Ullswater Road, Bristol.

"Sadly, the man died shortly afterwards. His death is not suspicious and the coroner has been informed.

"Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends."
