
Large areas of eight southern provinces remained flooded on Thursday. Six people have lost their lives.
Flooding continues in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Surat Thani, Trang and Yala, according to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation.
More than 385,000 people in 2,540 villages have been affected and six people have died since November 25.
Homes and businesses have been inundated, with many people forced to evacuate. Roads have also suffered severe damage.

The Meteorological Department forecast is for heavy rain to continue in the South through to Friday. The rains have been brought by a low pressure area covering the lower South and Malaysia.
