Southampton vs Newcastle, Brighton vs Wolves, Fulham vs Bournemouth, Watford vs Huddersfield – Premier League LIVE

Newcastle remain one of two clubs in the Premier League without a win this season and face Southampton, who have not started as they would have liked under Mark Hughes. After a run of tricky fixtures against Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City, Rafa Benitez, who says he wants to stay at the club amid speculation about his future, will be targeting a win at St Mary’s to kick-start their campaign.

Meanwhile, Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic received owner Shahid Khan’s vote of confidence following the London side’s 4-2 defeat against Cardiff in their last match. After spending over £100m on players in the summer, Fulham are the league’s worst defenders by some stretch and could be exposed by Bournemouth’s counter-attacking side.

Elsewhere Brighton host Wolves and Watford play Huddersfield, the second side still searching for a league win. Follow it all live:

That's it for our coverage of Liverpool's win over Cardiff.

Premier League results

Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Southampton 0-0 Newcastle United
Liverpool 4-1 Cardiff City
Fulham 0-3 AFC Bournemouth
Watford 3-0 Huddersfield Town
If there was a positive for Cardiff today, it's that they ended a long-standing record:

Top of the league

Liverpool move three points clear at the top of the Premier League, at least until Monday when Manchester City meet Spurs. It's been an impressive start to the season.

Full time: Liverpool 4-1 Cardiff

That's it. Liverpool, as expected, secure a comfortable win over Cardiff, thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Liverpool 4-1 Cardiff

90 minutes

Cardiff might feel unfortunate to have fallen three goals behind. It certainly hasn't been the drubbing many might have expected. But Liverpool's quality in the final third has, in the end, proved the difference.

Three minutes of added time.
GOAL! Fulham 0-3 Bournemouth (Wilson)

85 minutes

It's another bad day for Fulham. Wilson gets his second and Bournemouth's third at Craven Cottage.
GOAL!
GOAL! Liverpool 4-1 Cardiff (Mane)

87 minutes

The floodgates have opened! Mane is played through by Salah and dinks the ball over Etheridge to make it four.
GOAL!
GOAL! Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff (Shaqiri)

85 minutes

That, surely, is game over. A lovely move from Liverpool. Salah plays the ball into substitute Shaqiri, who coolly picks out the bottom corner.
GOAL!
GOAL! Watford 3-0 Huddersfield (Success)

80 minutes

Success converts from a set piece to put the finishing touch on a successful day for Watford.
Liverpool 2-1 Cardiff

81 minutes

Liverpool need to ensure they don't make any sloppy errors in the final ten minutes. They're trying to starve Cardiff of the ball as they did in the first half, but the lead is dangerously slim now.
GOAL!
GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Cardiff (Paterson)

77 minutes

Maybe it isn't over. That was unexpected. Hoilett's cross takes a deflection and falls perfectly for Paterson, who nudges the ball in.
Liverpool 2-0 Cardiff

76 minutes

Liverpool are strolling towards victory now. This is over as a contest; it's just a case of how many they can score.
GOAL!
GOAL! Fulham 0-2 Bournemouth (Brooks)

71 minutes

Bournemouth look to have sealed another victory. David Brooks slots home after a quick counter attack.
Liverpool 2-0 Cardiff

71 minutes

Firmino makes way for James Milner, always a comforting site for Liverpool fans when they're winning.
Liverpool 2-0 Cardiff

70 minutes

Cardiff, who had done well to keep Liverpool at bay, look visibly deflated by the second goal. They know they don't have it in them to score twice.
GOAL!
GOAL! Liverpool 2-0 Cardiff (Mane)

66 minutes

That should be the game. Liverpool hadn't looked in any great rush to get a second goal, but now they have it. Mane bundles his way into the box and lashes a left-footed shot into the net.
Liverpool 1-0 Cardiff

61 minutes

First substitution of the game for Liverpool. Lallana is replaced by Shaqiri.
Liverpool 1-0 Cardiff

60 minutes

Alberto Moreno, flying down the left, attempts a cross and then appeals for a penalty. He claims Hoilett handled it, but the referee disagrees.
Liverpool 1-0 Cardiff

56 minutes

This is much, much better from the visitors, though. Quality is still lacking, but they're making Liverpool work now. The hosts look lethargic, and need to keep their concentration.
