Southampton vs Man Utd LIVE stream: Premier League 2018-19 football as it happened - result and reaction

Southampton 2-2 Manchester United
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: St Mary's, Southampton

Romelu Lukaku and Ander Herrera's goals snatched slapdash Manchester United a 2-2 Premier League draw at Southampton.

Marcus Rashford set up two goals in six minutes, to make amends for conceding the free-kick that let Southampton take a 2-0 lead.

Adam Armstrong drilled his third goal in two games to give Saints a surprise lead, before Cedric Soares curled home a stunning free-kick.

England forward Rashford upended Mario Lemina for the foul that let Cedric double Saints' lead - only to roll up his sleeves and drag United back level with two assists.

Alexis Sanchez and Victor Lindelof are Man Utd's two major absentees, with both facing lengthy lay-offs.

Sanchez tore his hamstring in his right leg during training on Thursday, which Jose Mourinho fears will keep the Chilean out for six weeks.

Lindelof, too, will miss much of December, following a groin injury sustained against Crystal Palace last week.

Luke Shaw is available again after serving a suspension against Palace, while Diogo Dalot is set to start at right back.

Ahead of Saturday’s match at St Mary’s Mourinho told MUTV: “Players must be ready and in this case some are going away to the medical room and others are coming back. For example, this weekend will be the first call for Dalot. He’s ready now.

“He had an important injury and then surgery, and then a second injury with the national team when he was already playing against Young Boys and Derby County.

“When he was almost there, he was injured for the national team but now he’s had two weeks of training and we think he’s ready now.”

Victor Lindelof Groin injury (out)
Alexis Sanchez Hamstring injury (out)

Southampton injury and suspension list

Southampton will again be without forward Danny Ings for the visit of Manchester United.

On-loan Liverpool forward Ings has been carrying a hamstring problem, which saw him miss both last weekend's defeat at Fulham and the Carabao Cup exit at Leicester.

Defender Ryan Bertrand is struggling with a back issue which has kept him out of full training, so will be assessed. Striker Shane Long continues treatment on his ankle injury.

Provisional squad: McCarthy, Soares, Yoshida, Hoedt, Targett, Armstrong, Lemina, Redmond, Hojbjerg, Austin, Gabbiadini, Gunn, Vestergaard, Stephens, Davis, Elyounoussi, Ward-Prowse, Obafemi, Bertrand.
