Mikel Arteta surprised many with his bold decision to start Granit Xhaka in midfield and leave Matteo Guendouzi out of the 20-man matchday squad.
One of the Spaniard's other key decisions was to drop Alexandre Lacazette in favour of Eddie Nketiah which paid off when the 21-year-old pounced on an Alex McCarthy mistake to put Arsenal ahead in the first half.
Alongside this, Arsenal appear to be playing a back three with Hector Bellerin and Bukayo Saka as wing-backs. Saka had a very good first half bombing down the left with Kieran Tierney protecting him as the side's third centre-back. Should things stay as they are, the Gunners will move up to ninth
