Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl is ready to unveil incoming loan signing Takumi Minamino against Newcastle United.
The Japan international could prove to be a shrewd deal for the Saints with Hasenhüttl delighted to land the man from Anfield on deadline day.
Minamino is fully fit despite limited game-time at Liverpool and Hasenhüttl made it clear he intends to use him.
With Southampton still reeling from a 9-0 hammering at Man United, the Saints boss was asked on Minamino and said: "It should be possible.
"I know he didn't play so much in the past, but he's fit.
"He knows a little bit about the pressing football we want to play.
"It's good that he understands everything I want to tell him, not only because he is also speaking German – and I think at the moment his German is better than his English – but it is also helpful for me because I can explain to him everything.
"He is a good guy, and you see immediately the quality he has on the ball."
