One in every three couples are rocked by affairs… and the UK’s fling capital is Southampton.
Some 42 per cent in the city say they or their partner has cheated.
Southampton’s football team is The Saints and it is the home city of Craig David, whose hit Seven Days tells of meeting a girl on Monday and bedding her by Wednesday.
Cardiff was next friskiest city with 41 per cent declaring an affair had affected their family.
People in Chelmsford, Essex, also revealed themselves to be a bit naughty – on 40 per cent – followed by Plymouth and Manchester in joint fourth place on 38 per cent.
The average across Britain is 29 per cent.
And folk in Sheffield seem to be the most faithful, with just five per cent of couples in the South Yorkshire city owning up to a bit on the side.
Researchers who asked about the secret lives of Brits also discovered 22 per cent have got a relative they only found out about later in life.
Software company Iternal.life, which allows people to store and share their life stories digitally, asked 2,000 UK adults about family affairs.
Paul Wiseall, Iternal.life co-founder and managing director, said: “It was quite shocking to see the number of secret affairs and what families are hiding from each other.”
