Commuters have been hit by a second successive day of disruption on South Western Railway services.

SWR said services to and from London Waterloo were affected because of a problem with a track circuit maintained by Network Rail at Wimbledon.

Passengers were told that some lines are blocked. Train services running through Wimbledon are affected, with disruption expected until at least 10am.

Some trains leaving London Waterloo were unable to call at Clapham Junction, Earlsfield or Wimbledon, SWR said.

Passengers facing the disruption said it was "travel chaos" at Waterloo, while others called on SWR to bring an end to the disruption.

Services into Waterloo were also disrupted on Tuesday, as well as trains to and from London Paddington.

SWR said later that lines had reopened, but services running through Wimbledon may be cancelled, delayed by up to 35 minutes, or revised, with disruption now expected until 1pm.
