South West housebuilder moves to new Bristol HQ and rebrands

A South West housebuilder has moved to a new HQ in Bristol after outgrowing its old office space.

The company, which was previously known as David Wilson Homes (DWH) South West, has also rebranded to Barratt David Wilson Homes (BDWH) South West.

The name change comes after the business made an agreement to build and sell a small proportion of Barratt Homes properties.

BDWH has moved from Aztec West in North Bristol to a new site at West Point Court in Bradley Stoke in the city.

Managing director Ian Menham says the move and name change is “indicative of the firm’s consistent growth”.

He said: “People are continuing to see the benefits of buying new homes and current conditions mean many people are actively looking to move in 2019.

“Good mortgage rates and schemes like Help to Buy are just some of the factors contributing to our healthy sales, not least the quality of our homes.”

In the last 12 months BDWH South West has taken on 73 new members of staff and now employs 208 people directly.

It also supports hundreds of other jobs in its supply chain.

BDWH is building hundreds of new homes in the South West this year, with developments in locations including Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire.

The company is also behind the new neighbourhood community Ladden Garden Village in North Yate, which launched earlier this year.
