A woodlands charity is looking for weekend volunteers to help upgrade an access path at its base near Gelston.
South West Community Woodlands Trust hopes the extra pairs of hands will finish the job at Taliesin over February 26-27.
The trust is upgrading the existing path from the Gelston road entrance through the main site to the nearby forest track.
Once complete the improved walkway will allow less mobile people to access the site and take part in group activities.
Thanking Paths for All, the People’s Postcode Lottery, Scotmid and Nature Scot for their backing, project co-ordinator Jen Stephenson said: “We hope to see people with mobility issues accessing woodland workshops and events as well as being able to experience time in nature.
“If anyone would like to join our team to help with finishing off the path on our volunteer weekend, or wish more info, get in touch.”
As well as using machines to shift earth and lay stones, the project has involved volunteers helping to fit wooden edging on the path.
A small wildflower meadow has also been created on site.
The community woodland at Taliesin, which is located near Screel Hill, hosts regular woodland skills workshops.
