South Tyneside Festival Summer Festival is underway and next weekend things will go up a notch with the return of the Sunday concerts to South Shields.
Over the past few years the likes of Alexandra Burke, Busted, The Vamps, UB40 and Billy Ocean have headlined the massive Sunday gigs in Bents Park by the sea, with crowds of over 30,000 flocking in all kinds of weather.
Well it's to be hoped the sun and warm temperatures of last weekend hang around for a bit longer as this year's concerts get going in South Shields on Sunday, July 14.
Following on from acts like Heather Small and Atomic Kitten who entertained last year, there is an eclectic lineup assembled for South Tyneside Festival 2019.
