South side road flooded after overnight rain

A road in the south side of Glasgow has flooded after being inundated with rain overnight.

Readers have sent in pictures of cars parked in the water at Spean Street in Cathcart, which runs parallel to White Cart Water.

The flooding comes after days of wild weather brought by Storm Ciara, with her making way for Storm Dennis' arrival.

Glasgow is under a yellow weather warning for snow and ice today, in place from midnight until noon.

Meanwhile, strong gusts of wind of over 30mph, and freezing temperatures are predicted by forecasters.

The rain already wreaked havoc on commuters this morning, with flooding between Glasgow Central station and Crossmyloof causing disruption for south siders.
