Four apartments were burglarized in December and January in South Shore on the South Side.
In each incident, someone entered apartments through windows or rear doors and stole property from therein, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The burglaries happened:
- Between 3:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., between Dec. 27 and Jan. 3, in the 6900 block of South Merrill Avenue;
- Between 1:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Jan. 2, in the 6900 block of South Paxton Avenue;
- Between 6:45 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Jan. 5, in the 7000 block of South Paxton Avenue; and
- Between 10 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Jan. 13, in the 6700 block of South Merrill Avenue.
