South Park takes jab at Harvey Weinstein after producer resurfaces at New York comedy event

South Park's latest Halloween special, 'Tegridy Farms Halloween Special'. ( Hulu / Comedy Central )

South Park has taken a jab at Harvey Weinstein, days after the producer resurfaced at a comedy event in New York City.

The programme aired its 2019 Halloween episode, titled “Tegridy Farms Halloween Special”, on Wednesday.

At one point, Randy Marsh is the victim of hallucinations after smoking tainted marijuana and calls the police.

“There’s monsters everywhere!” he tells authorities. “It’s some kind of curse! Unspeakable evil!

“All different kinds of monsters! Zombies and plant people and bears! Oh my God, what’s that? Oh God, it’s Harvey Weinstein!”

Randy then tells police that Weinstein “got me” and that “Harvey Weinstein is inside me”.

“No! Harvey, I said no!” he adds.

Later on, Randy’s relieved to realise that he was hallucinating, though a used condom in the trash indicates that at least one of his visions might have been real.

The episode comes a few days after Weinstein was publicly confronted while attending a comedy show in New York City.

Comedian Kelly Bachman notably compared Weinstein to Freddy Krueger, the A Nightmare on Elm Street, during her set.
