Professional services and technology business Davies Group has acquired Scottish motor inspections and engineering business BMTS for an undisclosed sum.
The East Kilbride-based firm provides vehicle inspection and expert witness services to the insurance, legal and private sectors.
BMTS will become part of Stoke-on-Trent based Davies' existing specialist motor engineering business which offers desktop and field engineering services to insurance clients.
Kevin Miles will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of BMTS, reporting to Davies head of motor engineering and supply chain Amy Isherwood.

Globally, Davies has more than 4,000 staff, with operating centres across the UK, Ireland, Bermuda, the US and Canada.
