South Lanarkshire Leisure apologise to customers after gym forced to close

A gym at the Dollan Aqua Centre in East Kilbride has been forced to close due to a faulty ventilation system.

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) apologised to disappointed gym-goers yesterday.

And they told Lanarkshire Live today that gym one will remain closed until repairs are carried out.

The post on social media read: "Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the upstairs weights and functional gym will be closed until further notice. Our normal gym facility will remain open and available for booking.

"We are working in partnership with SLC to resolve this issue and will update our customers as soon as possible.

"We do apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate this is disappointing news for our customers."

General manager of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, David Booth, told Lanarkshire Live: “Due to a fault in the controller the air ventilation system that services gym one is not working. This area will need to remain closed until this is investigated and repaired."
