A total of 21 schools in South Lanarkshire have been forced to close their doors this morning because of the snow.
Five nurseries have also been shut due to last night’s heavy snowfall.
South Lanarkshire have released a list of which schools have been closed due to the adverse weather.
They are:

Braidwood Primary School
Carluke Primary School
Carmichael Primary School
Carstairs Junction Primary School
Carstairs Primary School
Coalburn Primary School
Coulter Primary School
Crawford Primary School
Crawforddyke Primary School
Douglas Primary School
Kirkfieldbank Primary School
Kirkton Primary School
Law Primary School
Leadhills Primary School
Milton Primary School
Rigside Primary School
Underbank Primary School
Biggar High School.

Earlier this morning we reported that children across Lanarkshire struggled to get to school this morning after the snow forced bus operators to cancel some runs.
Dozens of children from Bothwell and Uddingston were left out in the cold after their school buses failed to turn up.
Some youngsters heading to Holy Cross High in Hamilton were left waiting after school buses were unable to get out their depot, due to the heavy snow last night.
