South Lanarkshire Council urge Cambuslang residents to go for COVID test

South Lanarkshire Council is urging all Cambuslang residents to go for a COVID test.

The local council is urging residents to get tested for the virus, even if they don’t have symptoms.

The plea comes as coronavirus cases rise in Glasgow and SLC wish to protect families, friends and communities and keep the region out of Level 3.

An NHS Lanarkshire Community Outreach Team was based at Newton Farm community on Friday for residents to go along and be checked without an appointment.

PCR test kits were also available to be collected and returned there too.

There are also Mobile Test Units at:

- Eastfield Lifestyles; Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm and 9.30am to 5.30pm Saturdays and Sundays

- Blantyre Leisure Centre; Monday to Sunday 9.30am to 5.30pm

Appointments for those with or without symptoms can be made online or by calling 0800 028 2816.
