Kind-hearted members of a football academy delivered hundreds of hot meals to needy people across their community at New Year.
Blantyre Football Academy, based at their hub at Birch Place in the town, worked in conjunction with Blantyre Community Trust to make up 350 three-course dinners.
The meals, which were delivered straight to households or collected from the hub, included homemade soup, stew and fresh vegetables, rounded with trifle for pudding.
And in addition, the previous week they also provided Christmas day dinners to disadvantaged individuals and families that included turkey and all the trimmings, soup and dessert.
The Academy provided the hot food courtesy of their Blantyre Bites Back programme, all made within their hub premises' brand new kitchen.

No referral was needed for anyone requiring the meals, instead the Academy simply urged those who may be struggling, lonely, or in self-isolation to get in touch privately to arrange delivery or collection.
Academy chairman Jimmy Whelan told Lanarkshire Live : "We were delighted to work with Blantyre Community Trust on our Blantyre Bites Back initiative and provide over 350 hot meals for people in our town at New Year and indeed the week before at Christmas also.
"This is something we are keen to continue throughout the year, with no judgement whatsoever on the people who require the help.
"We hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's dinner and wish everyone a happy and healthy 2022."
