South Dublin dog hoping voters throw her a bone as she 'leads' the way for 'more dog parks and more treats for dogs'

Local elections candidates have just been ruff-led as a bold (she's actually very good) newcomer has sunk her teeth into the race.

It's just over ten days til we go to the polls, and if anyone's undecided, they might want to consider this pupper who's promising to bring a pawsitive atmosphere to South Dublin.

Kaya hasn't much pedigree for politics, but she's looking take the lead on animals in government.

Unlike most of her competitors, her mandate is simple and stern. We need more dog parks, less dog poop, and more treats for dogs!

Her slogan is "barking up the right tree".

The lovable (but very serious) posters have been spotted all over the Terenure area with local business The Pet Parlour helping her along the trail.

The animal lovers have said they're "delighted" to back Kaya's bid to get in and are hoping voters will throw her a bone on May 24th.

They also said she's "keen to establish pawsitive relations with the local cat community" to ensure they also have a voice.
