South Dublin County Council issue warning over bogus waste collection in Citywest

South Dublin County Council have issued a warning to residents over a bogus waste collection in Citywest.

Flyers have been circulated around the area saying a collection is scheduled for Thursday morning at 9am.

The notice claims a range of items will be collected, including radios, laptops, power tools and coffee tables.

The collector also claims they will take all of the waste free of charge.

But the council took to social media this afternoon to warn that it is not an official waste collection.

They said: "DCC has had reports of an illegal waste collection taking place in the Corbally Estate, Citywest on Thursday 19th September 2019 between 9am and 12pm.

"Do not give your waste to this collector, as the unwanted waste collected is likely to be dumped."
