South Carolina’s Parker White walked onto the team in 2017 and has scored 152 points for the Gamecocks over the last two seasons, posting one of the 10 best individual scoring seasons in USC history as a redshirt sophomore in 2018.
On Saturday during the USC spring game, the program surprised White by awarding him a scholarship – and the team made the announcement seconds after he kicked a field goal.
South Carolina’s Will Muschamp told White to turn around and watch the scoreboard, and his teammates erupted when it was revealed that White is officially on scholarship for 2019.
