Alabama faced South Carolina in Week 3, and the Crimson Tide were a 25.5-point favorite in some places over the Gamecocks.
Nick Saban’s squad was up 47-16 with the clock ticking down and a victory in sight for bettors who took the favorites. But then Ryan Hilinski marched down the field and, with 11 seconds left, tossed a touchdown pass to Kyle Markway. The Parker White kick was good … and the game ended with Bama up 47-23. The underdogs covered.
