South Belfast football club offers guidance after positive Covid-19 test

A South Belfast football club has offered guidance to its players following a positive Covid-19 test.

Rosario YFC said it had been made aware on Tuesday that a player from one of its senior teams had tested positive for coronavirus.

They added that the person had not shown any symptoms prior to being tested.

Rosario have now asked all players from the same team to be tested, and also self-isolate for 10 days or "until they get a negative result back".

The club said it was taking the measures "as a precaution".

In a statement posted on their Facebook page, Rosario added: "After seeking advice we have been told that no other people need to be tested at this stage.

"The club have been implementing its Covid 19 protocol since the return to play and at this stage are content that planned sessions can continue.

"This will remain under constant review and we will update members should there be any change."
