South Belfast 'aggravated burglary' investigated by PSNI

Police are investigating after two masked assailants entered a property in an alleged aggravated burglary on Saturday night.

It was reported that they forced entry into a house in Sandhurst Drive near Stranmillis in South Belfast at around 5.40pm.

It has been reported that one was armed with a firearm.

Detective Sergeant Rachel Miskelly said: "The two assailants demanded money from the occupants before being forced out of the property and ran off.

"It is not believed at this stage that anything was taken. 
 
“Detectives are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who was in the area and who may have captured dashcam or mobile phone footage.

"Please call 101, quoting reference 1340 08/02/20.”
