Council car parks are to re-open from tomorrow (Friday) across South Ayrshire.
It will mark the first time in more than two months that vehicles will be granted access.
Beachfront car parks in Ayr, Troon and Prestwick have all been off limits since the start of April.
And a number of other facilities have also been closed to drivers in a bid to discourage vehicles from parking up during lockdown.
A council spokesman said tonight: "We know this will be great news for many of you, but please respect national travel guidance and stay close to home.
"Remember to stay safe by observing physical distancing and following government guidance."
