MUMBAI: The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of customs detained Mzize Lindokulhe, a South African national, for smuggling eight kg of heroin worth 4 crore at Mumbai International Airport on Sunday morning. The contraband was recovered from inside his trolley bag.
During the interrogation, he confessed that he was carrying it for monetary considerations. As per reports, the accused arrested under the NDPS act was produced before the court and investigation is on. Earlier this week, atleast 300 kg of drugs worth 150 crore seized in the last few years at the CSM International Airport, were destroyed by the customs at Taloja.
