South African consortium release statement as they look to complete Notts County deal

The South African consortium hoping to buy Notts County have released an official statement through their lawyers saying they hope to conclude a “takeover as swiftly as possible”.

The group have been in talks with chairman Alan Hardy in the last two months and have already completed due diligence as they look to push a deal over the line.

They are being assisted by IPS Law, a top sports solicitors’ firm in Hale, and in a statement revealed Terry Pritchard had met Hardy again in London to discuss the offer.

“I can confirm that we made an offer (for the club) on Friday.

“We look forward to completing the takeover as swiftly as possible.

“Terry Pritchard, who is advising the consortium, met with Alan Hardy today to discuss the finer detail of the offer.

"There is a genuine desire by the consortium to conclude matters ASAP, to attract players to the club in time for pre-season.”
