Welcome to the Evening Standard’s LIVE coverage of the Rugby World Cup Final after South Africa beat England in Yokohama.
Tries by wingers Makazole Mapimpi and Cheslin Kolbe and the reliable kicking of Handre Pollard earned the Springboks the Webb Ellis Cup for the third time.
England were error-strewn throughout, conceding a number of scrum penalties and losing the critical battle up front.
Pollard kicked 22 points, preventing England from building any sort of momentum and guiding South Africa to a famous win.
