We meet Deon Meyer, one of a growing band of crime writers who are taking to the international stage. We tallk politics and the word with the poet and essayist Antjie Krog, boarding school comedy with the children's writer John van de Ruit, and we find out how one young writer, Niq Mhlongo, is bringing the language of the townships into literature.
