Source: Talen Horton-Tucker, Jalen McDaniels will workout for Thunder

Talen Horton-Tucker and Jalen McDaniels are among the six NBA prospects who will work out for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

Earlier today, we reported that former Arkansas big man Daniel Gafford would join Kansas guard Lagerald Vick at the team workout later today. According to a person who has direct knowledge of the team schedule, the full list includes Michigan guard Jordan Poole, Charleston forward Jarrell Brantley as well as potential first-round picks Horton-Tucker and McDaniels.

The person told USA TODAY Sports Media Group’s Thunder Wire on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly on this matter.

Horton-Tucker was mocked by The Ringer to the Boston Celtics with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Oklahoma City has the next selection at No. 21 overall, so this is a fair approximate range for the 6-foot-4 athlete.

He is represented by Klutch Sports, who also have Markieff Morris as one of their clients. Morris was signed by the Thunder during the regular season but twin brother Marcus Morris was very unhappy with the way the organization utilized the 6-foot-10 forward.

Among the prospects who will be in Oklahoma City, he is the most logical pick to hear his name on the night of the draft. But the Thunder could always decide to trade their way into the second-round. They could also look at their other prospects working out as potential undrafted free agents signed to two-way deals or contracts for training camp and/or summer league.
