Sources close to Hudson Williams have spoken out after an old picture of the Heated Rivalry actor with a swastika drawn on his face resurfaced on social media.
The picture, which gained traction over the weekend but was reportedly taken years ago, shows Williams posing next to two blurred-out people with multiple drawings on his face and shirt, including a swastika symbol on his forehead.

Speaking to TMZ, a source close to Williams claimed the actor had “no idea” what was drawn on his face when the photo was taken, saying it dates back to his high school days.
“The markings do not and have never reflected Hudson’s beliefs, values, or character,” the source said, describing the incident as “kids doing dumb things”.
They added that Williams “deeply regrets” the moment, and that he knows the photo and symbol are “completely inexcusable”.
“He understands the hurt and disappointment the photo has caused and deeply regrets it,” TMZ reported.
“He does not condone or support the offensive markings that were drawn on him and recognises the seriousness of the symbol seen in the image.”
A swastika is widely considered a hate symbol due to its appropriation by Adolf Hitler for the Nazi party, therefore representing racism, fascism and white supremacy.
Williams, who shot to fame opposite Connor Storrie in breakaway hit Heated Rivalry last year, has spoken out against hate in the past.
In March, the actor shared a social media message to the toxic corners of the TV show’s fandom, saying “none of us need your hateful ‘love’.”
“Don’t call yourself a fan if you share racist/homophobic/biphobic/misogynistic/ageist/ableist/parasocial/bigoted comments of any kind,” he added.
Last week, Williams won Best Lead Performer in a Drama Series at the Canadian Screen Awards for his role as Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry.
