GURUGRAM: Pure Hearts, NGO by the children for the children in need, in collaboration with Saga organised 'Soul Beats 2022', a musical fundraiser concert by students, to raise awareness and funds for the visually and physically impaired children.
This musical entertainer was a dedicated effort of the students to bring the community together to celebrate the spirit of inclusion and diversity. The fund collected will be utilized for organising a special experiential movie screening for visually and physically impaired children.
The audience was treated to the melodious performances by young student music bands from various schools in Gurugram, namely The Shri Ram School Aravali, The Shri Ram School in Moulsari, Kunskapsskolan in Gurugram, Scottish High International School and Heritage International Experiential School.
Soulful vocals by Ankur Gupta, a visually impaired artist (of international/ national fame) and Gurman Singh Kohli, student at Your Academy of Music YAM (finalist Star Plus – Taare Zameen Par) set the inspirational note and showcased their uniqueness and grit.
The celebrated music band 'Desi Roots' played mesmerizing pop and rock music which kept the audience enthralled and encouraged the performers with their continuous tapping to the beats of melody and rhythm.
An added blessing to the celebrations was the exhibit of beautiful artworks by Family of Disabled (FOD). This scene, where art and music came together, was the icing on the cake that filled our souls!
Shalu Johar Sahni from Pure Hearts said, "Our heartfelt gratitude to all schools, artists and Saga, for being a compassionate community, celebrating diversity and spreading cheer." We are looking forward to the thrilling movie screenings, especially dubbed for the visually and physically impaired, from all the funds raised from the event.
Vishal Anand, founder, Saga said, "In our ongoing endeavour to support good causes, it’s heartening & fulfilling to see NGOs like Pure Hearts & the student community coming together to create such a fantastic musical experience.”
