'Sorry our club is a joke!' - Arsenal fans fume as Wilfried Zaha hints at collapsed transfer

He's a player who has been widely linked with a summer switch to Arsenal, but things have all gone a little bit quiet regarding Wilfried Zaha.

The Crystal Palace talisman has been the subject of intense speculation linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but that move appears unlikely to materialise.

It's thought that the Eagles value Zaha at around £80million - a figure which exceeds the amount that the Gunners would be willing to pay.

The north London side have a reported transfer kitty of £45million, and while this could increase if players could be offloaded, it's unlikely that they'll look to meet Palace's asking price for Zaha.

The forward was reportedly keen on a switch to Arsenal, meaning that talk of a move hitting a stumbling block could be a huge disappointment for the Ivory Coast international.

Zaha has been away on African Cup of Nations duty with his country in recent weeks, but his focus will now be on getting ready for the new Premier League campaign.

Zaha took to social media to post a cryptic message saying 'life goes on'.

While it remains unclear what this is in reference to, it could well be a reference to the disappointment regarding a collapsed move to the Emirates Stadium.

Zaha will no doubt be feeling flat if a move fails to materialise, but that's nothing compared to the feeling of the Arsenal fans.

Here's how they've reacted to Wilfried Zaha's post.
