Sorry, Broncos fans: Prince Amukamara is signing with the Raiders

The Raiders have agreed to terms with veteran cornerback Prince Amukamara, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Amukamara (6-0, 204 pounds) played under Broncos coach Vic Fangio with the Bears from 2015-2018 so there had been some speculation that the cornerback might be interested in reuniting with Fangio in Denver.

Instead, Amukamara will now face Fangio two times in 2020.

Set to turn 31 years old in June, Amukamara is approaching his 10th season in the NFL. He entered the league as a first-round pick out of Nebraska with the Giants in 2011 and he spent the first five years of his career in New York.

Amukamara then had a one-year tenure with the Jaguars before signing with the Bears in 2017. He recorded 53 tackles, broke up 10 passes and forced one fumble in 15 starts for Chicago last season.

In his career, Amukamara has totaled 477 tackles, 10 interceptions, 80 pass breakups and six forced fumbles. The veteran defensive back has earned more than $45.8 million in his career, according to Spotrac.com.
