Strictly Come Dancing's head judge is eager to sign up a senior member of the royal family for this year's show.
Speaking at her stage show An Evening With Shirley Ballas on Saturday night, the professional dancer announced Sophie Wessex, wife of Prince Edward, would be her dream celebrity guest.
Shirley, who has recovered from a broken ankle during lockdown and is training four hours a day for her shows, said: "I would love to see a member of the Royal Family on Strictly this year.
"Sophie Wessex, she is the one. I know she loves the show and she's been at the studio a couple of times and watched the show. She'd be amazing, she is an avid fan of Strictly."
As Express.co.uk reports, Shirley said she even has the perfect partner in mind for The Countess of Wessex.
She added: "I'd put Sophie with somebody like Johannes (South African champion dancer Johannes Radebe) because he's such a gentleman, such a talent and a brilliant choreographer. I think those two would really get on well together."
Shirley is expected to return to the Strictly panel this year, for an 'all-out' show after last year's season was hindered by coronavirus.
Shirley will likely be joined by fellow judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, with Bruno Tonioli sure to make a comeback.
There have already been some big names mentioned in connection with this year's series, including the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Busted star Matt Willis.
Bristol-born presenter Maya Jama has also admitted in an interview with RadioTimes.com that she wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to appear on the show.
She said: “I don’t know, I always say I don’t know. I’d never say never to all of these things."
There has also been mentions of Jackie Weaver - from the famous Handforth Parish Council meeting - who appeared on Channel 4 recently alongside dancer and judge Anton Du Bec, who told her: “You could come and do Strictly Come Dancing. I think we’d make a fabulous team!”
