For those of us who were rightfully heartbroken by Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ split, I come bearing hopeful news that proves love may not be dead after all.
The Game of Thrones star recently gave us an insight into the status of her relationship with Jonas, whom she divorced after four years of marriage last year.
While it’d be all-too easy to curse out her ex (a favourite pastime of my own), Turner proved she’s on good terms with the pop star by showing support for his new album, the coincidentally titled Music For People Who Believe in Love.
Sharing a link to the project on her Instagram Stories, Turner wrote “Go go @joejonas”.
Meanwhile, I still have my ex’s stories blocked.
Turner’s show of support comes after Jonas’ recent revelation that one of the songs on the album, “Only Love”, was inspired by his experience of dating while being freshly divorced.
“I was seeing somebody at the time and I was kind of having this idea of dating again,” the Camp Rock star said on a TalkShopLive stream earlier this week.
“It was really scary and intimidating.”
Apparently, the unnamed person quickly dispelled Jonas’ fears by telling him “well, it’s only love.”
I hope she’s getting writer credits!
While the pair appear to be on good terms now, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
Turner — who shares two children with Jonas — previously filed a lawsuit accusing the singer of withholding their daughters’ passports and preventing them from returning to England, her home country.
Jonas denied the allegations, and the lawsuit was later dropped when he and Turner reached a co-parenting agreement.
That was back in 2023, and by the looks of it, things have seemingly settled down between the pair since then, with Sophie Turner even moving on with a British aristocrat whose name sounds exactly like that of a British aristocrat, Peregrine Pearson. *Clinks teacup*.
So there you have it, folks, there really is such a thing as copacetic exes. Whodathunkit!
