Sophie Turner blamed husband Joe Jonas for Busted break up

Games of Thrones star Sophie Turner thought her husband Joe Jonas would be a "d***" before meeting him - after blaming the singer for the break up of Busted.

The British actress, who played Sansa Stark in the hit US fantasy drama, has told how she and her friends initially hated the American boy band the Jonas Brothers.

She said they were the reason their UK rivals Busted broke up.

"We hated them," she told US Elle magazine's April edition.

She then recalled her first date with the pop star, 30, bringing along a group of burly friends for protection.

Sophie, 24, said they had arranged to meet in a bar in Camden, London, but was concerned Joe would turn up with bodyguards or that the meeting was a hoax.

"I expected [Joe] to show up with security and everything. I thought he would be such a d***," she said.

"I took all my guy friends with me to meet him because in the back of my mind I was worried he could be a catfish, or . . . I don't know what."

"I just wanted my guy friends with me. I had my rugby boys. I was safe."

But her concerns were proved to be ill-founded when after meeting Joe they ended talking for hours and "soon, we were inseparable".

Sophie also revealed she failed to watch Games of Thrones final episode while waving of criticism how the series ended.

"You can't make every fan happy," she said.

Last week the Northampton-born actress was seen in Beverley Hills appearing to show her "growing" tummy in a loose crop top amid speculation she's pregnant.

Elle US April issue is released on March 24.
