Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas surprise their fans with 'Game Of Thrones baby name'

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas delighted their fans when they lifted the lid on their daughter's Game Of Thrones-inspired name.

Claims emerged Joe, 30, and Sophie, 24, picked the name Willa for their first baby girl together, which sent fans into a meltdown.

Followers were quick to point out the Game Of Thrones connections.

Sophie shot to fame as Sansa Stark on the eight-series epic and Joe was a huge fan of the show, so it's no wonder they appeared to be inspired by the smash hit.

Willa is also a Stark name.

In the series, Ned Stark tells Robert that Jon's mum was called Wylla.

Fans were unable to contain their excitement over the baby reveal when they took to Twitter to congratulate the couple on their bundle of joy.

Among the crowd, one wrote: "Omg Sophie Turner has named her baby girl Willa. A complete Got aka A Song of Ice and Fire reference congratulations #GameOfThrones #asongoficeandfire @GRRMspeaking."

Excitement over the name begun stirring on social media following the announcement their baby had arrived.

Joe's representative confirmed to PEOPLE : "Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby."

The couple never officially announced they were having a baby.

But her pregnancy was an open secret; Sophie didn't hide her bump when she stepped out with her lover Joe.

They tied the knot last year and their love story spans back to 2016.
