Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Reactivating Divorce Case In Florida

Sophie Turner's legal team requests reactivation of divorce case with Joe Jonas.

Sophie Turner's legal team has requested a judge to reactivate her divorce case with estranged husband Joe Jonas. Court documents reveal that the abatement period has ended, prompting the case to be re-activated in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Jonas, 34, filed for a dissolution of marriage from Turner, 28, in September 2023 after four years of marriage, citing irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. The former couple, who got married in May 2019, share two daughters: Willa, born in 2020, and Delphine, born in 2022.

Following the divorce filing, Turner accused Jonas of withholding their children's passports, preventing them from traveling to England, her home country. Turner sued Jonas for wrongful retention, but in January, she dropped the claims after both parties signed a consent plan approved by a U.K. judge.

Previously, the couple had an interim consent order in place, allowing for shared custody and travel arrangements for the children between the U.S. and the UK. They had also agreed to designate England as their 'forever home' and were in the process of purchasing a home in the English countryside.

After a successful mediation, the former couple announced in October that they would be great co-parents, with the children splitting time between the U.S. and the UK. A status report letter was to be submitted before finalizing the next steps of their agreement.

Despite the legal proceedings, representatives for Jonas had no comment on the recent developments in the case. The divorce case reactivation signals a continuation of the legal process between Turner and Jonas as they navigate their separation and co-parenting responsibilities.
