Oct. 01--Sophia Bush invites you to watch "Chicago P.D." with her and her castmates every Wednesday.
The former "One Tree Hill" actress -- who plays Erin Lindsay on the NBC police drama, now in its third season -- makes it a point to interact with fans on Twitter while the episode airs. Bush appeared Wednesday at the ritzy grand opening party for Restoration Hardware's new Gold Coast store, RH Chicago, but wasn't about to break tradition the night of the season premiere.
"Tonight I'll be home and tweeting with the whole cast," Bush said Wednesday at RH Chicago. "I usually invite (castmates) to my place or Marina (Squerciati) has us over. It depends who is working the latest. As many of us who are available to come over do. It's really fun to see the finished product together and also just to spend the night in each other's company. It's so much fun to be engaged with the audience to see what our fans are responding to and what gets the biggest reactions."
(Squerciati tweeted that she was headed to Bush's place to watch Wednesday's season premiere with co-stars LaRoyce Hawkins, Patrick John Flueger, Elias Koteas and Brian Geraghty.)
It's not uncommon for TV actors to live tweet when their respective shows air. It's a good way of getting their Twitter followers to watch each episode -- or at least sort of watch. Some feel you miss out on much of the viewing experience by glancing back and forth between the TV and social media. That's part of the reason why Bush always goes back and watches the episode again.
"I rewatch the episodes once we finish tweeting," Bush said. "I want to watch it and sit it in quiet and really pay attention to every little moment and see how they edited the show together. I get emotionally invested. Our show is very stressful and emotional. I've read the script, but every episode is an emotional rollercoaster ride."
