The usual way we learn about new games coming to PS Plus is through the PlayStation blog, but this month they have been leaked early.

Twitter user billbil-kun has leaked Sony’s PS Plus February games, and he has been on the money with similar earlier reveals.

The four new games are OlliOlli World, Mafia Definitive Edition, Evil Dead The Game and Destiny 2 Beyond Light.

They will be available to download from February 7, and the leaker says Mafia Definitive Edition may be replaced by another title in some regions. This happens occasionally, with slight differences in the games released in certain countries.

Sony PlayStation Plus February 2023 games preview

Here’s a quick preview of what to expect with these new games, all of which are playable on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

OlliOlli World is a highly acclaimed skateboarding game, viewed side-on. It’s not a pure sports title, though, as it takes place in a fantasy world and features platform levels wrapped up in an actual story.

Mafia Definitive Edition is the remastered version of a 2002 PS2 and Xbox classic, a Grand Theft Auto-a-like whose world is drenched in old-timey gangsterism. It’s a bit stiffer than GTA 5, but well worth a look if you are partial to a little open-world play.

Evil Dead The Game is a fairly recent 2022 release, and a title intended to be played with others online. You smash and blast your way through demonic enemies as a team of up to four. While this wasn’t a huge story on release in May 2022, it received largely positive reviews.

Finally, Destiny 2: Beyond Light is a piece of DLC for Destiny 2, adding content including new missions and areas. You’ll need Destiny 2 to be downloaded to play this one, but the game has been free to play since 2019 so no extra purchase is required.

New games are exciting, but you should also take this drop as a reminder to go and unlock PlayStation Plus’s January games before they disappear.

Titles for January include Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fallout 76 and Axiom Verge 2. These are available on all tiers of the PlayStation Plus service, and the basic Essential plan costs £6.99 a month, or £49.99 a year.

Sony’s step-up Extra tier unlocks a catalogue of hundreds of games that can be downloaded and played as long as you are subscribed. And the top Premium tier offers the Classic Catalogue of retro games on top.
