Sony Michel’s Patriots, Warriors tweet hits a nerve with sports fans

Former Georgia Bulldog Sony Michel’s tweet about the NBA finals is so accurate:

It’s understandable for sports fans to hate teams who win too much. Look at the Alabama Crimson Tide, Golden State Warriors, New York Yankees, and New England Patriots. Most fans are sick of these teams, with the exception of the Yankees who haven’t won much recently. Fans want to see the underdogs prevail.

As a sports fan, it is annoying to see the same teams win over and over. That being said, the Warriors annoy fans because of when players like Kevin Durant and Demarcus Cousins joined them. KD joined the team after their record setting 73-9 season and after losing to them in devastating fashion in the Western Conference Finals. Cousins signed with a Warriors team that’d won three titles. His signing gives them an embarrassment of riches.

With limited elite players, too much of the NBA’s talent is in Golden State for the league to have an ideal competitive balance.

The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to do the same with the SEC East’s competitive balance. They might just be getting it done too:
