PlayStation owners in the US were able to change their PSN Online ID from yesterday, while UK gamers can change their IDs from today.

However, there’s a catch.

How to change your PSN Online ID

If you want to change your PSN Online ID, you can do this on either a PC or a PS4.

On PlayStation 4, go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Profile > Online ID.

On PC, simply sign in via the PlayStation website and click the edit button next to your PSN Profile in the menu.

However there are a few caveats to keep in mind.

While your first name change is free, you’ll have to pay £8/change from then. However, you can revert to a previous name for free. Child accounts also cannot be changed.
