It’s one of the most highly anticipated gaming consoles of 2020, and now Sony has dropped a massive hint about the PlayStation 5 launch date.
The hint comes from Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida, who responded to one Twitter user’s pleas for information on the PS5 launch date.
The user asked: “Please, Shuhei, where is PS5?”
Mr Yoshida then replied with a screen grab of the game Persona 5 Scramble (known as P5S), which has a launch date of February 20.
Mr Yoshida’s tweet was likely made in jest, and many fans replied to applaud his trolling skills.
One user replied: “You’re evil Shu but we love you anyway”, while another added: “This is cruel! EVEN FOR YOU!”
However, some fans believe the P5S launch date could coincide with the PlayStation 5 launch event.
One user replied: “February 20th. Exactly 7 years after the PS4 unveiling…hmmm,” while another simply wrote: “20/2/2020 PS5.”

Mr Yoshida’s tweet comes amid rumours that Sony could reveal the PlayStation 5 at an exclusive event this month.
The rumours were shared on Reddit, and indicate that Sony could launch the console at an event on February 29.
Reddit user PennyOhms spotted that Sony Hall is booked for a ‘private event’ that evening.

They wrote: “Rumoured Venue for PS5 Sony Event closed for "Private Event" on Saturday Feb 29th. Could this be it?”
While previous rumours suggested an earlier launch date of February 5, fans have noticed that Sony does not have any events at Sony Hall that night.
PennyOhms added: “Much later than the Rumoured Feb 5th, but nothing is showing on that day.”
