Sons handed late transfer window boost as Kilmarnock midfielder signs

Dumbarton FC made a late deadline day transfer window swoop, landing Kilmarnock midfielder Adam Frizzell until January.

The 21-year-old Greenock born midfielder already has a half-century of appearances for the Ayrshire side under his belt, and has spent time on loan to Livingston (as a member of the side that won promotion to the Scottish Premiership in 208) and Queen of the South.

Frizzell, who will initially join the Sons on a deal until January, has become the Sons 17th signing of a hectic summer and will look to replicate the success of his Killie teammate Dom Thomas at the C&G Systems Stadium.

Thomas joined the Sons at the same stage last season, scoring 14 times in 26 games and being named in the PFA Scottish League One Team of the Season.
