To celebrate 25 years since the release of his debut solo album Charcoal Lane, Archie Roach will join pedal steel guitarist Lucky Oceans (also known as ABC broadcaster Reuben Gosfield) for an evening of music and discussion.
The album launched Archie Roach into the public eye. It featured the song Took the Children Away, that described the impact of the forcible removal of Indigenous children from their families. The song struck a chord with the wider Aboriginal community, and it went on to win two Arias, while Roach received the International Human Rights Achievement award.
