All India Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday announced to dissolve the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and all district committees in the State with immediate effect.
The party’s State unit president Sunil Jakhar, however, remains unchanged, said an official statement.
General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, in a statement, said the Congress president has dissolved the office-bearers and executive committee of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) and the District Congress Committees (DCCs) of Punjab with immediate effect. The president of Punjab PCC shall remain unchanged, added the statement.
