A son was stunned by the reply his mum's new relationship status got on Facebook .
Connor Reed did not appreciate the reaction to his mum's news after she posted it on her Facebook page.
The 25-year-old's mum Kelly announced she was 'in a relationship' with Lee Grant but her son was far from thrilled with the response it received.
Responding to the announcement concerning his friend, Markus Mills posted a very vulgar comment.
Writing in the comments underneath, he said: "Fair play mate hammer it in like a tent peg x."
And not content with his first effort, Mills added: "How you pull that x."
Having seen the vulgarity with his own eyes, Connor was quick to make his thoughts known on Twitter .
Posting screen grabs of the comments, the 25-year-old tweeted: "Mum's just got herself a new fella, Markus Mills needs to calm down before I hammer him like a tent peg.
"I'm never going to be able to look at a tent peg in the same way."
The tweet was retweeted more than nearly 5,000 times and received more than 35,000 likes.
The newfound popularity was clearly too much for Kelly as her son revealed she deleted her Facebook soon after.
Lewis Powell said: "Think your mum's deleted Facebook lol I tried have a look," to which Connor simply replied: "Yeah she has."
There was a happy ending as Connor admitted it was all fun and games and his only concern is his mum's well being.
Responding to another comment, he said: "It's all banter but as long as she's happy all that matters.
"It's all a laugh but when it's your own mum you've just got to laugh."
