Son's desperate appeal to find 'extremely vulnerable' missing Edinburgh mum

The son of a missing Edinburgh woman has issued a desperate appeal to bring his mum home.

As reported by Edinburgh Live, Elaine McArthur was last seen around 12.40pm on Saturday afternoon (18 April) outside a shop on Crewe Road North, Edinburgh.

The 48-year-old has has not been heard from since and her son, Harry McArthur, has now taken to social media to ask for the public's help in tracing her.

He said: "My mum has went missing in Edinburgh, and is extremely vulnerable.

"If you have any information please contact as quickly as possible. Any shares would be greatly appreciated."

The post has already been shared over 7,000 times with dozens of people adding that they "hope" Elaine is found safe and well. 

Elaine is described as white, 5ft 2in tall, slim build and with long blonde hair tied up.

She was last seen wearing a khaki green waterproof jacket, blue jeans, green trainers and was carrying a green rucksack.

Anyone with information regarding Elaine’s whereabouts is asked to contact officers on 101, quoting incident number 1604 of 18 April 2020.
